Milesight RCT-500 is a split-core current transformer of the split-core type designed for use with the Milesight CTH01 Smart Power Monitor Hub. It enables current measurement in the range 0–500 A with accuracy class 0.5, and the opening design allows the transformer to be installed around an existing conductor without cutting it.
RCT-500 has a conductor opening with a diameter of Ø36.6 mm and connects directly to one of the CTH01 measurement channels via RJ11. One RCT-500 monitors one conductor / current channel; in a three-phase installation, the appropriate number of transformers is used for the monitored phases.

RCT-500 — split-core current transformer for the Milesight CTH01 system
Milesight RCT-500 is a split-core current transformer designed for AC current measurement from 0 to 500 A in combination with the CTH01 Smart Power Monitor Hub.
The opening design allows the transformer to be installed directly on an existing conductor without cutting it or routing it through a closed core.
Connection to CTH01 is made via an RJ11 connector, allowing the transformer to be quickly assigned to one of the hub's 12 current measurement channels.
500 A, class 0.5 and quick split-core installation
0–500 A
Range intended for monitoring larger circuits and loads in commercial and industrial installations.
Class 0.5
The transformer provides high accuracy suitable for professional energy monitoring.
Split-Core
The opening core simplifies installation on an existing conductor.
Energy and circuit-load monitoring
0–500 A current transformer
RCT-500 is one of the RCT-RJ11 transformer variants designed for the CTH01 hub.
The 500 A version is designed for monitoring circuits where smaller 100 A or 300 A transformers do not provide sufficient range.
Measurement without cutting the monitored conductor
The opening transformer core allows an existing conductor to be enclosed without routing it through a closed transformer opening.
The solution significantly simplifies retrofit of existing distribution boards and expansion of the energy monitoring system.
The transformer is installed directly on the monitored conductor according to the current flow direction required by the measurement system.
One RCT-500 monitors one conductor
Each RCT-500 transformer is connected to one CTH01 current channel.
This means that the number of required transformers depends on the number of conductors or phases to be monitored.
For example, for conventional three-phase measurement, a separate transformer is used for each monitored phase.
Dedicated to Milesight CTH01
RCT-500 is an accessory designed for the Milesight CTH01 Smart Power Monitor Hub.
CTH01 has 12 RJ11 current inputs and allows monitoring of up to 12 single-phase circuits or up to 4 three-phase circuits.
Individual channels can work with transformers of different ranges, including 100 A, 300 A, 500 A and 1000 A.
Direct connection to a CTH01 channel
The transformer is equipped with a cable terminated with an RJ11 connector.
The plug connects directly to the selected CTH01 measurement channel, reducing the number of manually made connections during installation.
RCT-500 as part of a multi-channel measurement system
RCT-500 measures the current flowing through the monitored conductor, while electrical parameter calculations are performed by CTH01.
Combined with voltage measurement, CTH01 can analyze RMS current, active, reactive and apparent power, energy, power factor and power quality parameters, among others.
Measurement opening Ø36.6 mm
The RCT-500 variant has a conductor opening with a diameter of 36.6 mm.
Before selecting a transformer, both the maximum circuit current and the physical diameter of the monitored conductor should be verified.
3 kV AC insulation and wide temperature range
RCT-RJ11 series from 100 to 1000 A
Key parameters of RCT-500
RCT-500 in an energy monitoring system
The transformer measures current in the selected conductor, while the CTH01 hub uses the data for energy calculations and transmits the results to the higher-level system.
