Advantech WISE-6610P-DEA – industrial LoRaWAN EU868 gateway for outdoor installations

Advantech WISE-6610P-DEA is a high-performance 16-channel LoRaWAN gateway designed for large Industrial IoT systems. The DEA variant supports the EU868band, while the IP67 enclosure allows the gateway to be installed closer to field devices, including locations exposed to dust and water.

The device uses the Semtech SX1302 gateway chipset and includes a built-in LoRaWAN Network Server. It can operate in private networks or work with external servers such as Actility, The Things Network, ChirpStack and AWS services.

On the system side, the gateway supports industrial protocols including Modbus/TCP, MQTT, BACnet/IP and OPC UA, while Node-RED, LoRaWAN Network Server and EdgeLink packages support edge processing and integration.

Gateway, network server and integration layer in one device

WISE-6610P can operate as a conventional gateway forwarding traffic to an external LNS, but it also includes its own LoRaWAN Network Server. This allows the architecture to be adapted to project requirements – from simple private networks to systems using popular servers and cloud platforms.

Node-RED and EdgeLink support enables part of the integration logic to run locally, while industrial protocols simplify data exchange with SCADA, BMS, IoT platforms and analytics applications.

PoE, pole or wall mounting and a wide temperature range

The IP67 enclosure, -40~75°C operating range and design for wall or pole mounting allow the gateway to be placed where radio propagation is favorable.

The 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet interface and PoE support simplify cabling. Two N-Type antenna connectors support the configuration intended for the 16-channel radio layer.
