Advantech WISE-6610-EB – LoRaWAN EU868 gateway with built-in network server

Advantech WISE-6610-EB is a second-generation industrial LoRaWAN gateway for building private and public IoT networks. The EB version operates in the EU868 band and uses the Semtech SX1302chipset for high radio-traffic processing performance.

The gateway includes a built-in LoRaWAN Network Server supporting up to 500 node connections, while also working with external servers such as Actility, The Things Network, ChirpStack and AWS. This allows the architecture to be matched to installation requirements and data-management policies.

Two 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet ports, support for Modbus/TCP and MQTT, built-in Node-RED and the option of an additional 4G adapter allow WISE-6610-EB to act as a central communication point for distributed LoRaWAN devices.

Flexible architecture: local operation or an external Network Server

WISE-6610 V2 can handle the LoRaWAN network-server layer locally or operate as a gateway for an external LNS. This approach makes it easy to start with a local network and later integrate it into a larger IoT environment without replacing the edge device.

Built-in routing, security and VPN tunneling functions help protect communication between the gateway and the supervisory system. Configuration is available through a web browser or SSH.

Compact gateway for control cabinets or wall mounting

The IP30 enclosure is intended primarily for indoor installations, for example in a control cabinet. The device can be mounted on a DIN rail or wall and operates across a wide temperature range of -40~75°C.

The latest WISE-6610 V2 specification lists a 9–36 V DCpower input. Where a backup cellular link is required, an additional 4G adapter can be used.
