Advantech WISE-4210-APNA – access point for WISE-4210 networks with Ethernet and RS-485

Advantech WISE-4210-APNA is an access point that connects Advantech's proprietary wireless LPWAN Sub-G network to Ethernet infrastructure. The device collects data from WISE-4210 nodes and makes it available to supervisory systems through popular industrial and IoT protocols.

The access point supports up to 64 sensor nodes. On the wired side it provides a 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet port and RS-485, while supported protocols include Modbus/TCP, Modbus/RTU, MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS and REST.

The 10–50 V DC power input and industrial operating-temperature range from -25 to 70°C simplify installation in automation cabinets and intermediate infrastructure points.

Central communication point for WISE-4210 nodes

WISE-4210-APNA acts as an intermediate layer between Sub-G devices and the IT/OT system. Wireless nodes can be distributed throughout a facility without Ethernet cabling, while the access point collects their data and exposes it on the wired network.

Modbus/TCP and Modbus/RTU support simplifies integration with automation systems, while MQTT, REST and HTTPS enable the same data to be used in IoT applications. The manufacturer also lists support for Azure IoT Hub.

DIN-rail, wall or pole mounting and compact dimensions of 70 × 102 × 38 mm make the access point easy to fit into existing infrastructure.
