Four reasons why it is a safe choice
Continuous monitoring of multiple points at once
Dozens of measurement points in production halls and warehouses report data on the same schedule, without manual rounds.
Sensors approved for hygienic zones
Sensor design and materials meet the requirements of food and pharmaceutical production areas — FDA certified.
Audit-ready data
Measurement history and temperature and humidity alarm thresholds are available from the first day of system operation.
Installation without cabling
Wireless sensors can be installed at additional points in the production hall or warehouse without running new cables.
What is included in the solution
- LoRaWAN temperature and humidity sensor — FDA certified View in store →Battery-powered wireless sensor in a housing approved for food and pharmaceutical production areas. It periodically measures temperature and humidity and transmits data via LoRaWAN.
- ITS Edge Cabinet — basic versionPrefabricated cabinet with a complete ITS platform instance. It receives data from LoRaWAN gateways over Ethernet, processes it and makes it available locally together with measurement history and alarms.
- LoRaWAN gateways — 2 pcs. View in store →Gateways located in the production and storage areas provide signal coverage for both zones. They connect to the ITS Edge Cabinet over Ethernet.
The solution is modular — the number of sensors is selected based on the size and layout of production halls and warehouses to cover all critical points: raw-material storage areas, cold rooms, production lines and packaging areas.
How it works
Sensors installed in the production hall and warehouse measure ambient temperature and humidity at regular intervals and then transmit data wirelessly via LoRaWAN. The sensor housing meets hygienic-zone requirements and is approved for use in food and pharmaceutical production environments.
Data is received by LoRaWAN gateways located in both areas. They then forward it over Ethernet to the ITS Edge Cabinet in the basic version. The local ITS platform instance provides measurement history, a GUI and configurable alarm thresholds for temperature and humidity.
Where it works best
Food production
Continuous monitoring of production halls, packaging lines and raw-material storage areas.
Pharmaceutical industry
Monitoring environmental conditions in production rooms and warehouses for temperature-sensitive substances.
Warehouses and distribution centers
Monitoring storage conditions for goods that require a defined temperature and humidity range.
Cold rooms and freezers
Automatic alarms when temperature deviates from the specified range, without manual checks.
Audits and regulatory compliance
Complete measurement history as evidence of compliance with HACCP, GMP and other industry standards.
Cold-chain logistics
Monitoring conditions at transshipment points and temporary storage areas.
No manual rounds or scattered records
- Manual, periodic readings of thermometers and hygrometers
- Paper-based or scattered measurement records
- Delayed detection of deviations from limits
- Labor-intensive preparation of audit data
- Expansion requires new cabling
- Automatic, continuous measurement without staff involvement
- Centralized data history in one system
- Immediate alarms when thresholds are exceeded
- Audit data ready for export at any time
- Add a new measurement point without cabling
ITS is the starting point, not the endpoint
Data collected by the ITS Edge Cabinet does not have to remain locked in one system. The platform can pass it on to tools used across the plant or company.
The above set is an example — ITS also integrates with other third-party systems tailored to the customer's specific IT environment.
