Milesight VS370-868M is a wireless presence sensor combining 24 GHz mmWave radar and a PIR sensor. It detects both movement and subtle movements of a person remaining in a room, providing detection accuracy of up to 99% without using cameras or recording images.
Version LoRaWAN EU868 also supports Milesight D2D, Bright/Dim light status measurement and configuration via NFC and Bluetooth. The radar detects movement up to 7.5 m, and subtle movements up to 4.8 m. Power from 2 × ER14505 2700 mAh batteries enables, according to the manufacturer, up to approximately 6.7 years of operation under specified test conditions.

VS370 — precise presence detection without cameras
Milesight VS370-868M is a wireless presence sensor combining 24 GHz millimeter-wave radar with PIR technology and EU868 LoRaWAN communication.
Combining the two detection technologies makes it possible to recognize both normal user movement and much more subtle movements of a person remaining in a room. This allows VS370 to determine the actual utilization of conference rooms, offices and other spaces more accurately.
Detection is performed entirely without cameras. The device does not take photos or record video, ensuring a high level of user privacy.
Radar + PIR, up to 99% accuracy and multi-year battery operation
Up to 99%
Combining 24 GHz radar and PIR enables highly effective human presence detection.
100% image-free
The sensor does not use a camera or record photos or video.
Up to 6.7 years
The energy-efficient design enables multi-year autonomous operation on two batteries.
Smart Office, HVAC and building automation
24 GHz mmWave radar and PIR
VS370 uses the PIR sensor to detect movement and then 24 GHz radar to determine presence status more precisely.
The radar can detect subtle human movements that may be difficult for standard PIR sensors to recognize, for example while sitting at a desk or conference table.
Movement up to 7.5 m, subtle movements up to 4.8 m
The wide 150° detection angle makes it possible to monitor a significant portion of a room when the device is positioned correctly.
Milesight also allows the sensitivity of both the radar and PIR sensor to be adjusted to match the behavior of the device to a specific room.
Motion detection at a range of up to 7 meters
Presence monitoring without a camera
VS370 does not use vision technology. Presence information comes from radar and PIR rather than image analysis.
The device does not capture users' images, so it can be used in locations where conventional cameras would be undesirable.
Bright / Dim status information
VS370 also includes a function for determining lighting status as Bright or Dim.
Presence and lighting status information can be used to create automation for controlling lighting and HVAC systems.
Direct control without a gateway
VS370 can act as a Milesight D2D Controller and send commands directly to compatible Milesight devices.
For example, this makes it possible to switch on lighting or HVAC immediately after presence is detected, without having to send every event through a LoRaWAN gateway and server.
Adjustable sensitivity and Hibernate Time
Radar Sensitivity
Radar sensitivity can be adjusted to the characteristics of the monitored room.
PIR Sensitivity
Independent PIR adjustment helps reduce unwanted triggers.
Hibernate Time
A configurable hibernation period allows the sensor response to be adjusted and energy consumption reduced.
Magnetic bracket with angle adjustment
VS370 is wall-mounted using a detachable magnetic bracket.
The bracket also allows the device to be tilted by approximately 30°, making it easier to direct the detection area toward the appropriate part of the room.
The manufacturer specifies wall mounting for VS370. Ceiling mounting is not supported.
Energy-efficient wireless communication
The VS370-868M version operates in the European EU868 band and can work with standard LoRaWAN infrastructure.
The device operates as LoRaWAN Class A and supports OTAA and ABP activation.
Bluetooth, NFC and downlink
VS370 can be configured locally using the Milesight ToolBox app via Bluetooth or NFC.
Bluetooth makes it particularly easy to configure a device mounted high on a wall because the phone does not need to be physically brought close to the sensor.
Parameters can also be changed remotely via LoRaWAN downlink messages.
OTA software update
VS370 supports remote management and firmware updates via the Milesight Development Platform.
This function reduces the need for physical access to devices in larger installations.
Up to approximately 6.7 years of battery operation
VS370 is powered by two ER14505 Li-SOCl₂ batteries with a capacity of 2700 mAh each.
For the EU868 version, the manufacturer specifies approximately 6.7 years of operation at SF7 and approximately 5.3 years at SF10 under specified laboratory conditions.
