How Does the RG 200 TB Rain Gauge Work?

Rainwater enters through the Ø200 mm inlet into a funnel and then flows into a two-compartment tipping bucket. When one compartment fills, the mechanism tips, discharges the collected water and generates a measurement event. Each tip corresponds to a specific rainfall depth: 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm or 0.5 mm, depending on the model ordered.

The streamlined, three-dimensional tipping bucket moves smoothly and is self-cleaning, helping remove dust. The design complies with the requirements of standard GB/T 21978.2-2014, with an expected service life of more than 7 years.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Foundation Mounting

Concrete foundation measuring 400 × 400 mm.

3 holes, Ø10 mm, on a Ø225 mm circle (at 120° intervals), 8–10 cm deep.

Install the expansion anchors and secure them with nuts.

Mount the base on 3 nuts with adjustable height.

Level the ring using the built-in bubble level or a spirit level.

Tighten the upper nuts and connect the signal cable.
ITS PLATFORM INTEGRATION
Different Data Sources. One System That Understands Them.
Compatible with data loggers, data acquisition cards and remote measurement modules. Via RS485/Modbus RTU or pulse output, rainfall measurements are transferred to the ITS platform alongside data from other sensors.
