Four reasons to choose it
Precise positioning
Position is determined using a GNSS module supported by Wi-Fi Positioning, improving positioning performance even where GNSS alone is limited.
Years of battery life
The tracker can operate for many years on a single set of batteries, without requiring a power connection to the tracked asset.
Current position and full history
The dashboard shows the current position of each tracker and its movement history, making it possible to reconstruct the asset's route.
No internet dependency
The entire solution can operate locally and fully offline. Asset location data remains within the customer's infrastructure.
What is included in the solution
- LoRaWAN outdoor asset tracker View in store →Battery-powered GNSS + Wi-Fi Positioning tracker with an accelerometer and temperature sensor, housed in a weather-resistant enclosure. Mounted directly on the tracked asset.
- LoRaWAN gatewaysGateways deployed throughout the monitored area provide signal coverage wherever tracked assets move.
- ITS Edge Cabinet — basic versionPrefabricated cabinet with a complete ITS platform instance. It receives data over Ethernet from LoRaWAN gateways, processes it locally and provides a dashboard with current and historical asset positions.
The number of LoRaWAN gateways is selected based on the size and terrain of the site so that coverage extends across the entire area where monitored assets move. The number of trackers can grow with the number of assets without redesigning the rest of the solution.
How it works
Trackers mounted on monitored assets — containers, machines, carts or other mobile equipment — periodically determine their position using GNSS supported by Wi-Fi Positioning and transmit data wirelessly via LoRaWAN.
Data is received by LoRaWAN gateways deployed across the site to ensure coverage throughout the monitored area. The gateways then forward the information over Ethernet to the ITS Edge Cabinet in the basic version. The local ITS platform instance displays the current position of each asset and its complete movement history — no internet connection required.
Where it works best
Construction sites
Locating equipment, containers and tools distributed across the entire construction site.
Storage yards and outdoor warehouses
Real-time overview of asset locations without manual site inventory.
Equipment rental companies
Tracking rented equipment throughout its period of use.
Ports and cargo terminals
Locating containers and cargo units across large operational areas.
Agriculture
Monitoring the location of agricultural machinery across large open areas.
Mining areas
Locating vehicles and equipment in areas with limited access to network infrastructure.
No more manual asset searches
- Manual searching and inventory of assets on site
- No movement history
- No single place showing the current position of all assets
- Loss or theft with no movement history
- Employee time wasted locating assets
- Current position of all assets in one dashboard
- Full route and movement history
- Local operation with no internet dependency
- Ability to detect unusual movement
- Multi-year operation without a permanent power supply to the tracker
Have distributed assets that need to be located?
We'll select the number of trackers and LoRaWAN gateways based on the site size and number of monitored assets.
