Milesight VS373-868M is a contactless radar fall detection sensor using 4D 60 GHz mmWave radar and AI algorithms. The device enables 24/7 fall detection with manufacturer-declared accuracy of up to 99%, without cameras and without recording images. It also monitors presence, lying position, motionlessness, dwell time, bed presence and breathing motion.
VS373-868M uses LoRaWAN EU868 Class C, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Milesight D2D. It has a local buzzer and multicolor LED, a 60 V / 1 A DO output, memory for 1000 records and an IP65enclosure. The sensor is designed primarily for nursing homes, hospital rooms, accessible bathrooms and other spaces where rapid fall detection is required while preserving user privacy.

4D 60 GHz mmWave with an advanced MIMO antenna array
VS373 uses millimeter-wave radar operating at 60 GHz. The technology enables contactless human detection without recording images.
The MIMO array contains 24 transmitters and 22 receivers, providing detailed spatial data needed for motion analysis and event recognition.
Advanced motion analysis with AI algorithms
VS373 analyzes spatial data generated by the radar and uses algorithms to recognize characteristic events associated with a person falling.
Under appropriate installation conditions, Milesight specifies up to 99% detected falls and less than 1% false alarms.
The manufacturer specifies performance parameters for a correctly installed device, a single-person scenario, without strongly reflective surfaces or moving objects that interfere with radar operation.

The system can classify breathing status, including normal, Bradycardia, Tachypnea or inability to determine the result correctly.
This function is auxiliary and the device should not be treated as a medical diagnostic system.
Configurable monitoring areas
VS373 allows custom sub-areas to be created so that selected parts of a room can be monitored independently.
For example, this makes it possible to define a bed, sofa, entrance or other important location and exclude areas where sources of interference may occur.

Monitoring without cameras or image recording
VS373 uses radar data rather than camera images. The device does not capture photos or video.

The VS373-868M version communicates via LoRaWAN in the European EU868 band.
Thanks to continuous power, the device operates as LoRaWAN Class C, enabling fast two-way communication and response to commands from the supervisory system.

In addition to LoRaWAN, the device has an IEEE 802.11b/g/n 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi interface.
Wi-Fi can operate as an Access Point or Client and supports communication via HTTP and MQTT.
Direct automation without a gateway
VS373 can operate as both a Milesight D2D Controller and Agent.
This enables direct communication with compatible Milesight devices and very fast response to specified events, without waiting for communication through a network server.
DO output for external alarm systems
VS373 has one digital DO output rated up to 60 V / 1 A.
The output can be used for local integration with a signaling device, nurse call system or other automation component.
Memory for 1000 records and retransmission
VS373 can store up to 1000 data entries locally.
Data Transmission and Data Retrievability functions allow data to be retransmitted and help reduce the risk of data loss in the event of temporary communication issues.
Permanent USB-C 5 V / 3 A power supply
VS373 is not a battery-powered device. The sensor requires a continuous DC 5 V / 3 A power supply via a USB Type-C cable.
