IMI NEON Valve Sensor MT – wireless monitoring of multi-turn valves
IMI NEON Valve Sensor MT is an industrial sensor designed for remote position monitoring of multi-turn valves, particularly gate valves. It makes it possible to determine whether the monitored valve is in the open or closed position.
The device uses magnetic field detection. The sensor measures the vertical displacement of a magnet connected to the valve stem, enabling wireless monitoring of its current position.
LoRaWAN 868 MHz communication allows information to be transmitted to the central system without the need for additional communication cabling.
Valve stem movement measurement
In multi-turn valves, a change in position takes place through the vertical movement of the stem. NEON Valve Sensor MT monitors the movement of a magnet connected to the stem and uses this information to determine the current status of the valve.
This solution enables the digitalization of existing measurement points and the integration of valve status information into Industrial IoT infrastructure.
Industrial valve monitoring
- monitoring of industrial gate valves,
- monitoring of multi-turn valves,
- open / closed status monitoring,
- process installations and pipelines,
- reducing manual valve inspections,
- infrastructure monitoring in Ex areas,
- Industrial IoT and remote installation monitoring systems.
Fewer manual valve inspections
Remote information about valve status can reduce the need for manual and visual inspections. The manufacturer also indicates the possibility of reducing the risk of leaks, improving safety and quickly retrofitting existing infrastructure.

Wireless valve position information
Thanks to LoRaWAN communication, information about valve status can be transmitted to the central monitoring system. This makes it possible to digitalize existing valves and use their position data as part of an Industrial IoT system.
