Four reasons to choose it
Direct IO-Link connection
Flow meters are connected directly to the cabinet — without intermediate wireless transmission and the associated risk of data loss.
8 points in one cabinet
A single ITS Edge Cabinet instance in the I/O Link option supports up to eight flow meters simultaneously.
Raw and aggregated data
Continuous live flow monitoring plus totalized consumption over 15-minute, 1-hour and daily intervals.
Rapid loss detection
Comparing consumption across lines or points makes it easier to identify compressed-air leaks.
What is included in the solution
- IO-Link compressed-air flow meters — 8 pcs.Installed directly in the compressed-air system and hardwired via IO-Link to the ITS Edge Cabinet.
- ITS Edge Cabinet — I/O Link optionPrefabricated cabinet with a complete ITS platform instance and an IO-Link communication module supporting 8 inputs. It receives data directly from the flow meters and provides a local dashboard.
The configuration shown includes 8 measurement points — this is an example quantity and scale. The installation can be expanded with additional flow meters. For more measurement points, additional ITS Edge Cabinets in the same option are used without changing the solution architecture.
How it works
Eight flow meters installed in the compressed-air system measure flow continuously and send data directly over a wired IO-Link, to the ITS Edge Cabinet in the I/O Link option. The cabinet contains a complete, self-contained ITS platform instance — data is processed immediately and available locally.
The dashboard shows the current flow from each measurement point live while automatically aggregating consumption over 15-minute, hourly and daily intervals — with no need for manual calculations or data exports.
Flow and consumption in one dashboard
Current flow, time-based aggregations and the status of all eight points are available in one view.
| Point | Flow | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Point 1 | 98 Nl/min | online |
| Point 2 | 112 Nl/min | online |
| Point 3 | 94 Nl/min | online |
| Point 4 | 121 Nl/min | online |
| Point 5 | 87 Nl/min | online |
| Point 6 | 103 Nl/min | online |
| Point 7 | 115 Nl/min | online |
| Point 8 | 112 Nl/min | online |

See where your air is really going
- One central meter for the entire system
- No information about which line consumes the most
- Leaks detected by chance or during inspections
- Manual compilation of consumption data in spreadsheets
- No consumption comparison between periods
- 8 independent measurement points simultaneously
- Clear comparison of consumption across lines
- Unusual consumption increases visible immediately
- Automatic aggregation: 15 min / 1h / day
- Data ready for trend analysis and audits
