WT303 — LoRaWAN Control of 2- and 4-Pipe Fan Coil Units
Milesight WT303 is a smart thermostat designed for local and remote control of FCU fan coil units in hotels, office buildings, apartments, and other facilities using HVAC installations.
The device works with 2- and 4-pipe systems equipped with 3-speed fans and ON/OFF motorised valves. The built-in E-Ink display, temperature and humidity sensors, and LoRaWAN communication combine local comfort control with centralised building management.
Local FCU Control Combined with Central BMS
2- and 4-Pipe FCU
The WT303 supports popular fan coil configurations equipped with conventional 3-speed fans.
ON/OFF Valves
The thermostat directly controls compatible 2- or 3-wire motorised valves, depending on the installation configuration.
LoRaWAN + D2D
Bidirectional communication enables centralised management, while Milesight D2D allows local automation without a gateway.
Where Can the WT303 Be Used?
2- and 4-Pipe Fan Coil Units with 3-Speed Fans
The WT303 does not have 0–10 V outputs and is not intended for EC fan control. The WT304 model is designed for such installations.
Heating, Cooling and Ventilation
8 Plans and up to 16 Schedules per Plan
The WT303 can store up to 8 operating plans, each containing a maximum of 16 schedules.
This makes it possible to automatically adapt HVAC setpoints to facility operating hours, time of day, weekends, or different room usage scenarios.
Room Temperature Measurement
Additional Information on User Comfort
NTC Input and External Sensor Mode
NTC 10 kΩ
The thermostat has an input for an external NTC 10 kΩ ±1%, B3950 sensor.
External Sensor Mode
Control can use temperature data from an external source if the thermostat installation point is not the optimal measurement location.
Milesight D2D
The WT303 can also receive data from compatible Milesight wireless sensors.
Hotel Key Card, Reed Switch or Other Dry Contact
One DI input can work with physical switches and contacts, such as a hotel key-card reader or a door/window reed switch.
This allows the fan coil operating strategy to be switched automatically depending on user occupancy or the status of the monitored element.
Functions That Automatically Reduce HVAC Energy Use
Open Window Detection
A rapid temperature change can be recognised as an open window, helping to reduce inefficient HVAC operation.
Freeze Protection
Freeze protection helps protect the room and installation against excessive temperature drops.
Fan Delay
The fan delay function helps optimise fan coil operation during mode changes.
2,7" E-Ink Display and Five Buttons
The black-and-white E-Ink display shows temperature, humidity, and the current FCU system status.
Five buttons allow the fan coil to be switched on and off, the temperature setpoint to be changed, and the control mode and fan speed to be selected. Child Lock helps prevent unauthorised setting changes.
LoRaWAN Class C and BMS Integration
LoRaWAN Class C enables fast, bidirectional communication between the thermostat and the supervisory system.
Milesight also supports integration with BACnet systems through compatible LoRaWAN gateways, allowing the WT303 to be incorporated into an existing BMS.
Communication, Power Supply and Design
WT303 in an HVAC Automation System
The WT303 controls the local fan coil unit, while data and setpoints can simultaneously be transmitted via LoRaWAN to a central management system.
