WT201 — Central and Local Control of 24 V AC HVAC Systems
Milesight WT201 is a smart LoRaWAN thermostat designed to control a wide range of heating, cooling, and ventilation installations using the 24 V AC control standard.
The device works with heat pumps, air conditioning systems, furnaces, boilers, and PTAC units, among others. Built-in temperature and humidity sensors, local schedules, and bidirectional LoRaWAN communication combine convenient room control with a central building management system.
One Thermostat for Multiple HVAC Configurations
Wide Compatibility
The WT201 works with most 24 V AC HVAC systems, including heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, and PTAC units.
4,2" LCD
The large backlit display provides a clear view of temperature, humidity, setpoint, and current HVAC mode.
LoRaWAN Class C
Continuous readiness to receive messages enables rapid remote setpoint changes and centralised management of multiple thermostats.
Where Can the WT201 Be Used?
Support for Popular 24 V AC Systems
Exact compatibility depends on the wiring method and configuration of the specific HVAC system.
Heating, Cooling and Automatic Control
Heat / Emergency Heat
Supports standard heating and emergency heating in compatible heat pump installations.
Cool / Auto
The thermostat can operate in cooling mode or automatically switch strategy according to the configured setpoints.
3 Fan Modes
Auto, On, and Circulate modes are available, allowing airflow operation to be adapted to the needs of the facility.
Automatic Temperature Management Throughout the Day
The WT201 supports extensive local schedules, enabling automatic setpoint changes depending on the time of day, day of the week, and how the building is used.
The manufacturer provides for up to 64 local schedules, allowing the thermostat to automatically execute complex scenarios without continuous commands from the platform.
Built-in CMOSens® MEMS Sensor
Additional Information on Room Comfort
4,2" Backlit LCD Display and Five Buttons
The WT201 features a large segmented LCD with white backlighting, displaying temperature, humidity, setpoint, and current HVAC system status.
Five physical buttons allow the system to be switched on and off, the temperature to be changed, heating or cooling mode to be selected, and fan operation to be adjusted.
Integration with a Hotel Key Card or Reed Switch
The WT201 has one DI digital input designed for a dry contact.
It can work with a hotel key-card switch, door or window reed switch, and other physical switches, enabling automatic changes to the HVAC control strategy.
Temperature Measurement from the Optimal Location
External Sensor Mode makes it possible to use an external temperature source when the thermostat installation point is not the best location for measuring room conditions.
The WT201 also supports Milesight D2D Data Receiving, allowing data to be transmitted directly from a compatible Milesight wireless sensor.
Smart HVAC Control Functions
Freeze Protection
Freeze protection can automatically activate heating when the temperature becomes critically low.
Fan Delay
Delayed fan operation helps optimise system behaviour during mode changes.
Child Lock
Button locking limits the ability of room users to make unauthorised setting changes.
1000 Records and Retransmission
1000 Records
The built-in memory enables local storage of up to 1000 historical records.
Retransmission
Data collected during temporary communication loss can be transmitted after the LoRaWAN connection is restored.
Data Retrievability
Historical data can be retrieved from the device memory by the supervisory system.
Local Communication Without a Gateway
The WT201 supports Milesight D2D Controller, Agent, and Data Receiving.
This makes it possible to create fast interactions between the thermostat and compatible Milesight devices without routing every operation through the gateway and supervisory system.
Multicast, FUOTA and NFC Configuration
NFC
Local configuration can be performed using the Milesight ToolBox app without complex programming.
Multicast
Makes it easier to send commands simultaneously to a group of thermostats in larger facilities.
FUOTA
Firmware Update Over-the-Air enables remote firmware updates for devices in the installation.
Communication, Power Supply and Design
WT201 in an HVAC Management System
The WT201 controls the HVAC installation locally, while its status, setpoints, and measurements can be transmitted via LoRaWAN to a central system.
