Milesight WS502-868M, PN: 3W-W11-EU is a smart, 2-channel LoRaWAN® wall switch in the European 86 × 86 mm format, designed for remote and local control of lighting and other electrical loads. The variant 3W requires a neutral conductor, and two independent SPST channels allow two circuits to be controlled. The device operates at 100–250 V AC, 50–60 Hz, supports a load up to 1000 W per channel and 2000 W total and measures voltage, current, power factor, active power and energy consumption in kWh.
WS502-868M uses LoRaWAN® OTAA/ABP Class C and Milesight D2D, enabling remote control, local dependencies between devices and group control via multicast. It supports schedules, delayed switching, key lock and overcurrent protection, and is configured via NFC with the Milesight ToolBox app or remotely via downlink. The built-in antenna, IP20 enclosure made of flame-retardant UL94 V0 polycarbonate and dimensions 86 × 86 × 40 mm are designed for wall mounting in a standard 86 mm box.

Milesight WS502-868M 3W-W11-EU — 2-channel LoRaWAN® wall switch
Milesight WS502-868M, PN: 3W-W11-EU is a smart two-channel LoRaWAN® wall switch designed to modernise conventional lighting and electrical installations by adding remote control, energy measurement and automation functions.
Variant 3W-W11-EU is a European version designed for an 86 mm mounting box and requires a neutral conductor. The WS502 model has 2 independent channels, allowing it to control two separate circuits from one panel.
The device combines local control with LoRaWAN® Class C, technology Milesight D2D, energy-consumption measurement, schedules, multicast and overcurrent protection, creating a complete automation component for offices, commercial buildings and other smart facilities.
Two circuits, energy measurement and remote control
2 independent channels
WS502 enables two separate electrical circuits to be controlled from one wall panel.
Energy Measurement
The device monitors voltage, current, power factor, active power and cumulative energy consumption.
LoRaWAN® + D2D
Combining LoRaWAN® communication with Milesight D2D enables both platform-based management and local control between devices.
Smart electrical installation control
2-channel version for 86 mm box
Number PN: 3W-W11-EU specifies the European 3-wire version requiring a neutral conductor.
Model WS502 is a variant 2-Gang, meaning it has two independent buttons and two control channels.
The 86 Type design is adapted to a standard square 86 mm mounting box.
Two independent SPST outputs
Each of the two WS502 channels controls a separate circuit, enabling independent switching of two loads.
For resistive loads, the manufacturer specifies a maximum current of 10 A per channel, while the total device current must also not exceed 10 A.
For inductive loads, the permissible current is 5 A per channel and a maximum of 10 A total.
Direct operation with a 100–250 V AC installation
WS502 is powered directly from the electrical installation and does not require an additional power supply.
The input voltage range is 100–250 V AC, and the supported mains frequency is 50–60 Hzfunction.
The 3W variant requires both live and neutral conductors, so availability of the N conductor in the installation box must be verified before installation.
Monitoring electrical parameters of loads
WS502 monitors the electrical parameters of connected loads and can transmit the results via LoRaWAN® to the higher-level system.
The device measures AC voltage, current, power factor, active power and cumulative energy consumption in kWhfunction.
Typical measurement accuracy according to the current manufacturer specification is ±3%, and the maximum is ±5%. A version with ±1% accuracy is also available.
Wall switch connected to the IoT system
Both channels can be controlled directly from the wall panel, so the user operates WS502 like a conventional switch.
The circuit states can also be changed remotely via the LoRaWAN® network, allowing the switch to be integrated with a central building management system or IoT platform.
The button indicators use the colour Ice Bluefunction.
Automatic switching on and off according to time
WS50x allows schedules and timers to be defined for automatically controlling lighting or other loads.
Function Delay Switch also allows an ON or OFF command to be executed after a specified delay.
Automatic timed control can reduce unnecessary operation of lighting and other devices outside required hours.
Protection of controlled circuits
WS502 supports the Overcurrent Protection, which monitors the electrical load of the device.
The mechanism can respond when the permissible current level is exceeded, providing an additional layer of protection for the smart switch and connected loads.
Ability to lock local control
Function Switch Lock allows the physical switch buttons to be locked by software.
This is useful in shared, technical and commercial spaces where the circuit state is to be centrally controlled.
Bidirectional communication in Class C mode
Variant 868M is intended, among other applications, for operation under the European EU868function.
Maximum transmit power for the 868 MHz band is 16 dBm, and receiver sensitivity reaches −137 dBmfunction.
WS502 operates as a OTAA/ABP Class C, so it remains ready to receive downlink commands and rapid remote control.
Integrated communication without an additional antenna
WS502 uses internal LoRaWAN® antenna, so no additional radio components need to be installed after mounting.
The entire communication module is located inside the switch enclosure, maintaining the clean appearance of a standard wall panel.
Direct communication between devices
WS502 supports Milesight D2D, meaning communication between compatible Milesight devices without routing every command through a LoRaWAN® gateway.
The device can act as both a Milesight D2D Agent, as well as Milesight D2D Controllerfunction.
This enables local scenarios where, for example, an occupancy sensor or another switch directly triggers a change in lighting state.
Group control of multiple devices
Support for Multicast enables the same command to be directed to a group of compatible LoRaWAN® devices.
The function is useful in larger rooms and installations where many switches or circuits should respond together.
Configuration via Milesight ToolBox
WS502 can be configured using NFC and the Milesight ToolBox appfunction.
The installer can bring a compatible smartphone close to the device, verify the password and change its parameters without using a wired service interface.
After commissioning, remote configuration is also possible via LoRaWAN® Downlinkfunction.
Flush-mounted 86 × 86 mm panel
WS502 in the W11-EU version uses the format 86 Type and is intended for wall mounting.
The enclosure is made of white polycarbonate with UL94 V0 flammability rating, and the device ingress protection rating is IP20function.
For the 86 Type version, the dimensions are 86 × 86 × 40 mm, while the weight of the two-channel WS502 model is approximately 103 gfunction.
