VS133-P — AI ToF people counter with Ethernet and PoE+
Milesight VS133-P is a professional people counter using second-generation ToF technology and AI algorithms for precise counting, traffic analysis and space-utilization analysis.
The device offers a wide 98° × 80° field of view and is designed for installation at heights up to 3.5 m. It is suitable for entrances, passages and traffic routes in stores, shopping malls, office buildings, metro stations and other public facilities.
The VS133-P version uses a wired Ethernet connection with PoE+, allowing one cable to provide both power and data transmission.
Up to 99.8% accuracy, wide FoV and PoE+
Up to 99.8%
Second-generation ToF and AI algorithms enable very precise people counting.
98° × 80°
The wide field of view makes it possible to cover large entrances and traffic routes.
PoE+
Data transmission and power are provided through a single Ethernet cable.
Retail Analytics, Smart Building and people-flow analysis
Second-generation ToF and AI algorithms
VS133-P uses invisible 940 nm infrared light to create depth maps of the monitored space.
AI algorithms analyze spatial data and allow people to be distinguished from other objects present in the detection area.
The technology can operate in low light and even in complete darkness.
0.5–3.5 m range and wide 98° × 80° FoV
Up to 8.05 × 5.87 m field of view at a height of 3.5 m
The size of the monitored area depends on the installation height of the counter.
When installed at a height of 3.5 m the device's full field of view is approximately 8.05 × 5.87 m. The effective detection area for changes in the number of people is approximately 4.14 × 3.02 m.
Up to 4 independent counting lines
VS133-P allows up to four bidirectional people-counting lines to be configured.
This allows people entering and leaving to be analyzed independently and the flow through the monitored passage to be determined.
Up to 4 independent analysis areas
VS133-P allows up to four areas for regional people counting to be created.
Each zone can have up to 10 sides and enables analysis of the number of people and their dwell time.
More than conventional entry and exit counting
U-turn Filtering
Reduces unnecessary counts of people turning back within the counting area.
Group Counting
Makes it possible to analyze people moving together as a group.
Dwell Time
Enables analysis of user dwell time in selected zones.
Separating staff from other visitors
VS133-P supports the Staff Detection function, allowing appropriately marked staff to be recognized.
Employee passages can be separated from customer statistics, increasing the reliability of visitor traffic data.
The function requires appropriate staff identification, e.g. a compatible VA31 lanyard.
Distinguishing children and adults
Depth-data analysis makes it possible to distinguish children and adults, providing more detailed statistics on traffic structure.
Shopping-cart fill-level analysis
VS133-P supports the Shopping Cart Fill Level Detection function.
It extends conventional traffic analysis with detection of shopping carts at different fill levels, which is particularly useful in retail environments.
Motion Heat Map and Dwell Heat Map
Motion Heat Map
Shows the areas through which visitors move most frequently.
Dwell Heat Map
Shows the locations where users spend the most time.
Anonymous Tracking
Movement analysis is based on spatial data, not on identifying people.
Detection of sensor obstruction
The Occlusion Detection function makes it possible to detect situations where the device's field of view has been obstructed.
This makes installation diagnostics easier and enables faster detection of issues affecting data quality.
Combining up to 4 VS133-P counters
The Multi-Device Stitching function allows up to four devices to be combined into one larger analysis area.
VS133-P also supports automatic detection of the device tilt angle, making it easier to align multiple counters.
Counting without collecting conventional images of people
The device operates on depth maps generated by ToF technology.
The manufacturer states that images of people are not collected during the standard counting process and that the solution complies with GDPR requirements.
Power and transmission through one cable
VS133-P has an RJ45 10/100 Mb/s port operating as a PoE Powered Device.
IEEE 802.3at PoE+ support allows the counter to be powered and data to be transmitted through the same Ethernet cable.
HTTP, MQTT, BACnet/IP and OpenVPN
Alarm I/O and provision for RS485
Up to 1,000,000 records and retransmission
VS133-P can locally store up to 1,000,000 records and export data to a CSV file.
The retransmission function supports up to 6 × 30,000 packets, helping maintain data continuity during temporary communication issues.
IEEE 802.3at PoE+
VS133-P is powered directly through an IEEE 802.3at PoE+ Ethernet port.
Typical power consumption is approximately 9.4 W, with a maximum of 23.8 W.
Compact enclosure for installation above a passage
The standard installation method is ceiling mounting above the monitored passage.
With the optional multifunction bracket, installation on a ceiling extension or lintel is also possible.
