GSM LTE MQTT IoT controller

UC300-L05EU has 4 opto-isolated digital inputs designed to detect logic states and pulses from external devices.

Each input can operate as a conventional digital input or as a pulse counter, enabling operation with energy meters, water meters, gas meters, flowmeters and other devices with a pulse output.

Two relay outputs allow actuators to be controlled without additional I/O modules.

The SPDT contacts can switch loads up to 3 A at 30 V DC or up to 3 A at 250 V AC, allowing control of contactors, valves, signalling or auxiliary circuits, among other devices.

UC300-L05EU is equipped with four conventional analogue inputs: 2 × 4–20 mA and 2 × 0–10 Vfunction.

This allows industrial pressure, level, temperature, flow, humidity and other process-variable transmitters using common signal standards to be connected.

Two dedicated RTD inputs allow direct connection of temperature sensors PT100 without using an additional temperature transmitter.

Sensors are supported in the configuration 2- and 3-wire, and the measurement range is from −200 to +800°Cfunction.

The controller has one interface of each type RS485 and RS232function.

RS485 supports transparent transmission and Modbus RTU, enabling UC300 to collect data from meters, power analysers, inverters, controllers, measuring devices and other industrial equipment.

RS232 operates in transparent mode. The supported transmission-speed range for serial ports is 1200–115200 bpsfunction.

Designation L05EU identifies the European UC300 cellular-module variant intended, among others, for the EMEA region.

The device supports LTE FDD B1/B3/B7/B8/B20/B28A, and where LTE is unavailable it can also use supported WCDMA and GSM/EDGE bands.

The cellular antenna is connected to the SMA 50 Ω, and the operator SIM card is inserted into the slot Micro SIM 3FFfunction.

The cellular UC300 version can send data directly through the operator network to external IT systems.

Available communication modes include TCP, UDP, MQTT, AWS, Milesight IoT Cloud and SMS, allowing the integration method to be matched to existing IT infrastructure and project requirements.

Direct cellular communication means that the UC300-L05EU variant does not require a separate LoRaWAN® gateway.

UC300 enables local rules based on conditions and actions to be created IF-THENfunction.

The controller can respond to an input value change, a configured threshold being exceeded or a device state, and perform defined actions such as switching a digital output.

Rules are executed locally in the controller, so basic automation functions can continue even during temporary cellular connectivity loss.

The threshold-alarm function enables responses to specified input-signal values.

The cellular version can also use SMS to report states and diagnostic information, enabling simple notification systems independently of the cloud platform.

Port USB Type-C enables local device configuration and access to the service console.

The port can also power the controller with 5 V DC, facilitating device configuration before final installation.

The controller’s main power supply is via a 2-pin 3,5 mm terminal block and can range from 5 to 24 V DCfunction.

The power input has surge protection and reverse-polarity protection.

Alternatively, the device can be powered with 5 V via USB Type-C during configuration and service work.

UC300-L05EU uses a black metal enclosure with an ingress protection rating of IP30 and is intended primarily for indoor installations.

The operating temperature range is from −20 to +60°C, and permissible relative humidity from 0 to 95% non-condensing.

The controller dimensions are 93 × 70 × 22 mm, so it occupies little space in a distribution board or control cabinet.

Mounting is possible on a DIN rail, wall or flat surface, facilitating use in both new and modernised installations.
