PT100 probe (for TS30X & TS602) – food-grade

The SP11 AF10-125-150 uses Class A PT100 sensing element.

PT100 denotes a platinum resistance temperature sensor whose resistance changes predictably as temperature changes.

The Class A variant is used to provide more accurate measurement than the standard Class B SP11 variant.

Milesight specifies the probe measurement range as −40…125°C.

The range covers typical refrigeration applications, food product storage, and temperature control of products at positive temperatures.

For the SP11 AF10-125-150, the manufacturer specifies a typical accuracy of ±0,4°C.

This allows the probe to be used in applications requiring accurate product temperature monitoring and control of storage conditions.

The measuring element is located in a needle tip made of 316 stainless steel.

Milesight specifies the material as Food Grade, and the tip dimensions are Ø4 × 100 mm.

The slim design is intended for Insert Installation applications, meaning the probe is inserted directly into the monitored product or medium.

The SP11 AF10-125-150 features a 1,5 m silicone cable.

The manufacturer specifies the cable as Food Grade and specifies its operating temperature range from −60 to 250°C.

The silicone insulation provides a wide temperature range and allows the Milesight device installation location to be separated from the actual measurement point.

Milesight specifies the installation method for the SP11 AF10-125-150 as Insert Installation.

The needle tip can be inserted directly into the product to measure its internal temperature.

This design is particularly useful for checking food products, samples, semi-finished products, and materials requiring temperature measurement within their volume.

The manufacturer specifies the protection rating of the needle measuring section as IP67.

The design is therefore protected against dust and the effects of temporary immersion under the conditions defined for IP67.

The protection rating applies to the probe design according to the manufacturer's documentation and does not automatically mean the same protection rating for the connector and connected data-logging device.

Milesight lists the SP11 AF10-125-150 as an accessory intended for TS301, TS302 and TS602.

The probe performs the physical temperature measurement, while the compatible Milesight device handles reading, logging, and further data transmission.

SP11 AF10-125-150 is the Food Applications variant with a 316 stainless steel needle tip and Food Grade silicone cable.

SP11 B05-125-200 is the standard Class B PT100 probe with a straight sleeve, A03-050-150 is the very-low-temperature version, while A05-500-150 is designed for industrial temperature measurements up to 500°C.

When selecting a probe, both the temperature range and the method of contact with the measured product and the tip design should therefore be considered.
