Pro-face PFXSTM6BE is a rear module Rear Module / Basic HMI Gateway of the STM6000 Series in a version intended for projects created in GP-Pro EX. The module features an ARM Cortex-A8 800 MHz processor, 64 MB of application memory, and communication interfaces including 2× Ethernet 10/100BASE-T, 1× RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485 serial port, USB 2.0 Type-A and USB 2.0 micro-B.
PFXSTM6BE works with Display Modules PFXSTM62TP 4″ Wide and PFXSTM64TP 7″ Wide, forming the STM-6200WADE and STM-6400WADE panels respectively. Pro-face PFXSTM6BE is an STM6000 Series computing and communication unit that serves as the rear module of an operator panel in the version designed for GP-Pro EX software.
The module combines visualisation control, communication with automation devices, and project memory functions. When connected to the appropriate Display Module, it forms a complete STM6000 HMI panel.
PFXSTM6BE can work with both 4-calowym PFXSTM62TP, as well as 7-calowym PFXSTM64TP, allowing the same rear unit to be used with two operator-panel formats.

Separate Display Module and Rear Module
The STM6000 Series uses a modular design, in which the display and rear unit are separate components.
PFXSTM6BE serves as the Rear Module — it contains the processor, memory, communication interfaces, and functions required to run an HMI project.
The appropriate PFXSTM62TP or PFXSTM64TP display is selected for the module depending on the required operator-station size.
4″ Wide or 7″ Wide
Official Pro-face documentation assigns the PFXSTM6BE to two complete STM6000 panels in the GP-Pro EX version.
With the module PFXSTM62TP it forms the configuration PFXSTM6200WADE / STM-6200WA, while with PFXSTM64TP — PFXSTM6400WADE / STM-6400WA.
Version Designed for the GP-Pro EX Environment
A key feature of PFXSTM6BE is support for GP-Pro EX, the Pro-face engineering environment for designing HMI visualisations.
Within the STM6000 family, a Rear Module is also available PFXSTM6B for the variant using BLUE software.
PFXSTM6B and PFXSTM6BE should therefore not be treated as identical variants — selection should take into account the engineering environment used in the project.

The unit uses a processor ARM Cortex-A8 clocked at 800 MHz.
Available for the HMI project is 64 MB application memory, while backup memory capacity is 320 kB.
Two 10/100BASE-T Network Ports
PFXSTM6BE features 2 RJ45 Ethernet ports supporting 10/100BASE-T transmission.
Two physical network interfaces provide high flexibility when integrating the panel with automation devices and Ethernet infrastructure.
Support for specific controllers and protocols depends on the project configuration and communication drivers available in GP-Pro EX.
RS-232C, RS-422 and RS-485
The module features 1 COM1 serial communication port terminated with a 9-pin SUB-D connector.
The interface supports the standards RS-232C, RS-422 and RS-485 and enables transmission at speeds from 2400 to 115200 bit/s.
This enables integration with controllers, drives, regulators, and other automation devices equipped with a suitable serial interface.
USB Type-A and micro-B
PFXSTM6BE is equipped with two different USB interfaces.
Available is 1× USB 2.0 Type-A and 1× USB 2.0 micro-B.
The ports can be used for service functions, project transfer, or supported peripherals according to the system configuration.

PFXSTM6BE is powered by a rated voltage of 24 V DC with ±20% tolerance.
According to the current product data sheet, the maximum module power consumption is 6,8 W.
The manufacturer also specifies a maximum inrush current of 30 A.
Modular System Using a Ø22 mm Hole
One distinctive feature of the STM6000 is an installation system using a round Ø22 mm mounting hole.
This simplifies panel installation on operator consoles and front plates, especially where standard pushbuttons and control elements mounted in 22 mm holes are also used.
The standard configuration allows mounting in a panel with a thickness from 1,5 to 6 mm.
The Display and Rear Module Can Be Separated
The STM6000 design also allows separation of the Display Module from the PFXSTM6BE.
Pro-face offers dedicated separation cables with lengths of 3 m, 5 m and 10 m: PFXZCM6SM3, PFXZCM6SM5 and PFXZCM6SM10.
This allows the display to remain on the door or operator console while the communication module is installed in another, more convenient location.
