SP5000 Open Box with Windows 10 and software, coated

Pro-face uses the suffix F0C to designate Box Module variants produced as Coated.

PFXSP5B412F0C is therefore a version of the PFXSP5B412 model with an additional factory-applied protective coating on the electronics.

The coating does not change the module’s basic functionality, interfaces or compatibility — all basic specifications correspond to SP-5B412.

SP-5B412 uses Microsoft Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC 32-bit.

The open Windows platform enables industrial applications and utility tools to run alongside classic HMI panel functions.

The manufacturer also factory-installs its own system tools for brightness adjustment, UART configuration, screen calibration, Write Filter support and HMI Runtime management.

The unit uses an industrial processor Intel Atom E3825 clocked at 1,33 GHz.

The processor has two cores and two threads and 1 MB of L2 cache.

The platform was designed for fanless operation in an HMI device and uses natural air circulation for cooling.

SP-5B412 features 4 GB DDR3L SDRAM.

Video memory uses a UMA architecture and can use up to 256 MB of main memory.

Available is 1× SD Card Slot intended for data storage and two CFast slots — one for the system and one for Storage memory.

Removable system storage also simplifies servicing and restoration of the device configuration.

PFXSP5B412F0C features digital DVI-D output.

The supported external display resolution reaches 1920 × 1200 px (WUXGA), in accordance with the VESA standard.

The output can be used to connect an additional monitor and expand the workstation’s visualisation capabilities.

Open Box offers an audio input MIC / LINE IN on a 3,5 mm mini-jack connector.

The output supports an external speaker with at least 300 mW at 8 Ω and a LINE OUT signal.

An output is also available Alarm / Buzzer 24 V DC, max. 50 mA, enabling local signalling.

PFXSP5B412F0C features an expansion interface enabling installation of one Fieldbus Unit module.

This allows the SP5000 platform’s communication capabilities to be expanded with suitable optional interfaces available for this device family.

SP-5B412 can work with a wide range of SP5000 Display Modules — from compact 7″ Wide to 19″ Wide.

The Box Module is mounted directly on the rear of a compatible Display Module, forming a complete HMI unit.

The Open Box itself operates at a rated voltage of 12 V DC.

In the standard configuration, power is supplied through the connected Display Module.
