Pro-face PFXSP5B10 is an industrial SP5000 Series Power Box forming a high-performance computing unit for a modular operator panel. The device uses a ARM Cortex-A9, a real-time operating system, 1 GB of device memory and 512 kB of NVRAM. It offers 2× Gigabit Ethernet, 2× COM RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485, 2× USB 2.0 Type-A, USB mini-B, two SD slots and an audio/AUX interface.
PFXSP5B10 works with compatible SP5000 Series Display Modules and can be programmed in the GP-Pro EX or BLUE. The module is powered by 12 V DC supplied from the Display Module, consumes a maximum of 25 W and operates at 0…60°C. This is the standard variant without conformal coating; the version protected with a conformal coating is PFXSP5B10F0C.

Pro-face PFXSP5B10 is an industrial Power Box forming the computing section of modular SP5000 operator panels.
The unit uses ARM Cortex-A9 processor and real-time operating system, providing a platform designed for visualisation, communication with automation devices and operator functions.
The module is installed on the rear of a compatible SP5000 Display Module. Thanks to the modular architecture, the computing section can be retained when changing display format or replaced independently of the screen.

Two SD Slots and 512 kB NVRAM
Power Box has two SD card slots with different functions.
One slot is intended for system card, while the second serves as Storage memory for application data.
Additional memory is available for storing data that must be retained: 512 kB NVRAM.
2× Gigabit Ethernet
PFXSP5B10 features two independent RJ45 Ethernet ports.
The interfaces support 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 1000BASE-T.
The two ports allow communication to be separated between machine devices and supervisory Ethernet infrastructure, or used according to the architecture of the specific project.
Two Universal COM Ports
The module is equipped with COM1 and COM2, using 9-pin D-Sub connectors.
Both ports support RS-232C, RS-422 and RS-485, enabling direct communication with a wide range of automation devices.
The standard transmission range is 2400–115200 bit/s. COM2 additionally supports 187500 bit/s transmission for MPI.
Two host ports and USB mini-B
Power Box is equipped with 2× USB 2.0 Type-A and one port USB 2.0 mini-B.
The Type-A ports can work with supported peripherals, while USB mini-B can be used for transfer and service functions.
Speaker Output and LINE OUT
PFXSP5B10 features an audio/AUX interface designed for panel audio functions.
The speaker output provides 300 mW at an 8 Ω load.
A LINE OUT output is also available for a load of 10 kΩ or greater.
Expansion with Optional Communication Modules
Power Box has an interface enabling the use of optional Expansion / Fieldbus Unit.
This allows the panel to be adapted to additional buses and communication requirements according to the range of SP5000 expansion modules.
For SP5000 Series Display Modules
PFXSP5B10 is designed to work with Display Modules of the SP5000 platform.
The current Pro-face list indicates compatibility with displays from 7″ Wide to 19″ Wide, including SP-5400WA, SP-5500TP/WA, SP-5600TP/TA/WA, SP-5700TP/WC and SP-5800WC.
SP-5660TP is currently listed by the manufacturer as incompatible with SP-5B10.
Pro-face Environment Support
The current product data sheet indicates support for GP-Pro EX and BLUE.
PFXSP5B10 is also included on the current list of models supported by GP-Pro EX.
12 V DC from the Display Module
The rated supply voltage of the Power Box itself is 12 V DC.
In the standard arrangement, power is supplied from the connected Display Module.
The maximum power consumption is 25 W, while without powering external devices it does not exceed 12,5 W.

PFXSP5B10 is the standard Power Box version without conformal coating.
The PFXSP5B10F0C variant uses the same basic hardware platform but features a factory-applied protective coating on the electronics.
Therefore, when selling PFXSP5B10, “Coated” should not be added to the name or specifications.
