Pro-face PFXSP5B00 is an industrial SP5000 Series Standard Box forming the basic computing unit of a modular HMI operator panel. It runs under a real-time operating system and offers 1 GB Flash memory, 320 kB NVRAM, 2× Ethernet 10/100BASE-T, COM1 RS-232C, COM2 RS-422/RS-485, 2× USB 2.0 Type-A, USB mini-B and an SD card slot.
PFXSP5B00 works with compatible SP5000 Display Modules and is supported by GP-Pro EX from version 4.08.200. The module is powered by 12 V DC from the Display section, consumes a maximum of 17,5 W and operates at 0…60°C. This is the standard variant without conformal coating; the version with a factory-applied protective coating is designated PFXSP5B00F0C.

Pro-face PFXSP5B00 is an industrial Standard Box designed for building modular SP5000 Series operator panels.
The module forms the rear part of the HMI system and contains memory, communication interfaces and the electronics responsible for running the operator project.
When connected to a compatible Display Module, it forms a complete SP5000 panel. The modular architecture allows the computing section or display to be replaced independently, simplifying servicing and future workstation upgrades.

The manufacturer specifies 1 GB of built-in Flash memory designed for applications and 320 kB of NVRAM for storing data that must be retained.
The design does not use Windows and is intended primarily for classic HMI panel functions.

PFXSP5B00 is equipped with 2× USB 2.0 Type-A and 1× USB 2.0 mini-B.

Standard Box features one SD card slot intended for Storage memory.

PFXSP5B00 is part of the modular SP5000 platform and works with a wide range of Display Modules.
The manufacturer’s current table includes, among others, SP-5400WA, SP-5500TP, SP-5500WA, SP-5600TP, SP-5600TA, SP-5600WA, SP-5700TP, SP-5700WC and SP-5800WC.
An important exception is SP-5660TP — the manufacturer lists this display as incompatible with Standard Box SP-5B00.
PFXSP5B00 a PFXSP5B10
PFXSP5B00 is a simpler Box Module version than Power Box PFXSP5B10.
Standard Box does not support optional Expansion / Fieldbus Units, Sound Output or AUX Output.
Power Box also offers larger backup memory and more flexible serial interfaces, while Standard Box can handle typical HMI tasks with lower maximum power consumption.
12 V DC from the Display Module
The rated supply voltage of PFXSP5B00 is 12 V DC.
In the standard configuration, power is supplied to the Box Module from the connected Display Module.
The maximum power consumption of the Standard Box alone is 17,5 W, while without powering external devices the manufacturer specifies a maximum of 8,8 W.

PFXSP5B00 is the standard variant without conformal coating.
Version PFXSP5B00F0C has the same basic functionality but uses a factory-applied protective coating on the electronics.
