EM500-PP — Wireless Pressure Monitoring in Installations
Milesight EM500-PP is an industrial sensor designed for continuous monitoring of liquid and gas pressure in piping installations.
The G1/2M-4842 variant measures gauge pressure within a range of 0 to 16 bar and uses a standard G 1/2" connection. Measurement data is transmitted wirelessly via LoRaWAN, enabling distributed monitoring systems without the need for additional communication infrastructure.
Continuous Pressure Monitoring Without Wired Data Transmission
Range up to 16 bar
Pressure measurement from 0 to 1600 kPa allows the sensor to be used in a wide range of water, gas and industrial installations.
Accuracy ±0,5% FS
Stable measurement enables continuous observation of pressure changes and detection of values deviating from normal installation operating conditions.
LoRaWAN
Wireless transmission allows distributed installation points to be monitored without the need for a wired communication network.
Where Can the EM500-PP Be Used?
Key Measurement Parameters
Early Detection of Pressure Abnormalities
Continuous pressure measurement makes it possible to observe actual installation operating conditions and identify sudden drops, increases or long-term deviations from the typical level more quickly.
The data can be used, among other purposes, to supervise pump operation, monitor water and gas networks, detect potential failures and plan maintenance activities.
316L Stainless Steel Probe
316L stainless steel
The measuring element made of 316L stainless steel provides the mechanical and corrosion resistance required in many industrial installations.
G 1/2" Connection
The standard male process connection makes it easier to install the sensor directly in a pipeline or at an appropriate measurement point.
1,5 m Cable
Separating the probe from the communication module allows the transmitter to be positioned in a convenient location independently of the pressure measurement point.
Design Adapted for Outdoor Installations
IP67 Transmitter
The LoRaWAN module enclosure protects the electronics against dust and water, enabling installation in demanding environments.
IP65 Sensor
The pressure probe has an IP65 protection rating and can operate at temperatures from −10°C to +70°C.
Flexible Mounting
The communication module can be mounted on a wall, pole or DIN rail, depending on the installation design.
Local Storage and Alarming
1000 Records
The EM500-PP can locally store up to 1000 historical measurement records.
Data Retransmission
Data stored during temporary communication loss can be retransmitted after the network connection is restored.
Threshold Alarms
The ability to define threshold values makes it possible to quickly detect pressure that is too low or too high in the monitored installation.
Communication, Power Supply and Design
* The manufacturer declares up to 10 years of operation with a 10-minute reporting interval and a temperature of 25°C. Actual battery life depends on configuration, communication quality and operating conditions.
EM500-PP in an Installation Monitoring System
Pressure measurements can be transmitted via LoRaWAN to a gateway and then to a central platform. This makes it possible to monitor multiple installation points, analyse measurement history and generate alarms when configured values are exceeded.
