Milesight EM400-UDL-868M, PN: W050 is a professional ultrasonic distance and level sensor with LoRaWAN EU868. The Pro W050 variant enables non-contact measurement within a range of 0,3–5 m, with an accuracy of ±1% FS and 1 mm resolution. It is suitable for monitoring tanks, wells, sewerage, retention tanks, and water and outdoor infrastructure.
The device features an enclosure IP67, a 3-axis accelerometer, an internal NTC temperature sensor, threshold alarm, calibration, and Tilt & Distance Switch. Two replaceable ER26500 Li-SOCl₂ batteries with 9000 mAh each provide more than 10 Years of Operation under the manufacturer's test conditions. Configuration is performed via NFC and the Milesight ToolBox app.

Milesight EM400-UDL-868M W050 is a professional ultrasonic distance and level sensor using energy-efficient LoRaWAN EU868 communication.
The W050 variant belongs to the Pro version of the EM400-UDL family and provides a measurement range from 0,3 to 5 metres, ±1% FS accuracy, and 1 mm resolution.
Measurement is performed without the sensor contacting the medium, making the device suitable for tanks, wells, sewerage, retention tanks, and other outdoor installations.

Measurement Without Direct Contact with the Medium
The EM400-UDL emits an ultrasonic wave towards the liquid surface or measured object and analyses the return time of the reflected signal.
Based on this, the device determines the distance to the surface. In a tank application, this value can be used to calculate the current level or fill percentage.

Milesight distinguishes between Standard C050/C100 and Pro W050/W100 variants.
W050 provides ±1% FS accuracy within a temperature range from −30 to +65°C, distinguishing it from the standard C050 probe.
Energy-Efficient Communication for Outdoor Installations
The EM400-UDL-868M communicates using the LoRaWAN standard in the European EU868 band.
The device can work with standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers, enabling monitoring of many distributed measurement points.

The EM400-UDL features an internal NTC temperature sensor with a range of −40…+125°C and a resolution of 0,1°C.
The manufacturer uses it, among other things, to detect unusual increases in device temperature. It is not the primary ambient temperature sensor.
