Milesight EM400-UDL-868M, PN: C050 is a non-contact ultrasonic distance and level sensor with LoRaWAN EU868. The C050 variant enables measurement within a range of 0,25–5 m, with an accuracy of ±(1 + 0,3% × S) cm and 1 mm resolution, making it suitable for monitoring tanks, wells, sewerage, surface waters, and outdoor infrastructure.
The device features an enclosure IP67, a 3-axis accelerometer, an internal NTC temperature sensor, threshold alarm, calibration, and Tilt & Distance Switch. Two replaceable ER26500 Li-SOCl₂ batteries with 9000 mAh each provide more than 10 Years of Operation under the manufacturer's test conditions. Configuration is performed via NFC and the Milesight ToolBox app.

The EM400-UDL emits an ultrasonic wave towards the liquid surface or measured object and then analyses the return time of the reflected signal.
Based on this, the device determines the distance to the measured surface. For a tank, the result can be used by the supervisory system to calculate the current level or fill percentage.

The EM400-UDL-868M version communicates using the LoRaWAN standard in the European EU868 band.
The sensor can work with standard LoRaWAN gateways and network servers, enabling a distributed level monitoring system.
