Milesight AT101-868M is an industrial LoRaWAN asset tracker designed for monitoring vehicles, machinery, containers, equipment, and other valuable assets. The device uses GNSS and Wi-Fi network scanning, providing positioning even in locations where the satellite signal is limited.
The AT101 supports geofencing, motion and tilt detection, and a tamper alarm, three tracking modes, and storage for 1000 records with data retransmission. The IP67 enclosure and IK09 mechanical resistance enable operation in demanding environments, while four replaceable 2700 mAh batteries provide more than 15 years of operation with two position updates per day under the manufacturer's test conditions.

AT101 — Location and Protection of Valuable Assets
Milesight AT101 is an industrial LoRaWAN tracker designed for monitoring the location, movement, and status of vehicles, machinery, containers, and other valuable assets.
The device combines GNSS satellite positioning with Wi-Fi access point scanning. The built-in accelerometer, geofencing, tilt alarm, and tamper protection make it possible not only to determine an asset's position but also to detect unwanted events.
Location, Security and Long-Term Operation
GNSS + Wi-Fi
Combining satellite systems with Wi-Fi access point scanning improves positioning capabilities in varied conditions.
Geofencing
Virtual zones make it possible to detect when an asset leaves or re-enters a specified area.
More Than 15 Years
With two position updates per day, the manufacturer declares more than 15 years of operation on a set of replaceable batteries.
Where Can the AT101 Be Used?
Satellite Positioning with Accuracy up to 5 m
Location Support with Limited GNSS Signal
The AT101 can scan nearby Wi-Fi access points and report their BSSID identifiers and RSSI signal levels.
This function can support asset location in buildings and other places where satellite signal reception is difficult. The tracker does not connect to Wi-Fi networks — it only scans access points.
Three Location Reporting Strategies
Motion Mode
Reporting can respond to the start and end of movement and increase the update frequency while the asset is moving.
Periodic Mode
Position can be reported periodically with a configurable interval from 1 to 1440 minutes.
Timing Mode
Up to five specified position-reporting time points can be configured.
Virtual Safety Zones
The geofencing function allows a virtual area to be created for the monitored vehicle, machine, or other asset.
Leaving or re-entering a defined zone can be recorded and used to automatically generate an alert.
Tilt and Removal Attempt Detection
3-axis accelerometer
The tracker detects Normal / Tilt status and enables monitoring of changes in the protected asset's orientation.
Tilt Alarm
A reference position can be defined as the baseline for the tilt alarm.
Tamper Alarm
A button on the back of the device detects attempts to remove the tracker from its installation location.
Built-In Temperature Change Sensor
The AT101 has a built-in NTC thermistor that can monitor temperature changes and report rapid increases.
The function is intended primarily as an additional means of detecting potentially dangerous thermal changes in the protected asset, rather than replacing a precision temperature data logger.
1000 Records and Retransmission
1000 Records
The built-in memory stores up to 1000 historical records.
Data Retransmission
Information stored during temporary loss of connectivity can be transmitted after the LoRaWAN connection is restored.
Data Retrievability
Historical records can be retrieved again from device memory, improving the completeness of the asset history.
Battery Life Depending on Positioning Frequency
* Manufacturer data for a temperature of 25°C. Actual battery life depends, among other factors, on positioning frequency, GNSS time to fix, LoRaWAN communication quality, and environmental conditions.
Communication, Power Supply and Design
AT101 in an Asset Monitoring System
Location, movement, tilt, and alarm event information can be transmitted via LoRaWAN to a central platform.
