EEM-MA370-R — multifunction EMpro energy meter for DIN rail
Phoenix Contact EEM-MA370-R 2907980 is a multifunction network parameter meter designed for measuring and monitoring energy and electrical parameters in low-voltage installations up to 690 V AC.
The device supports single-, two- and three-phase networks, performs continuous TRMS measurement and enables analysis of voltage, current, power, energy and higher harmonics.
EEM-MA370-R has both Ethernet with Modbus TCP and REST APIand RS-485 with Modbus RTU, allowing the meter to be integrated with modern networked systems as well as existing automation installations using serial communication.
Precise measurement, network analysis and flexible communication
690 V AC
Direct phase-to-phase voltage measurement enables use of the meter in typical low-voltage installations.
Modbus RTU/TCP
Ethernet and RS-485 enable integration of the device with various automation and energy management systems.
63rd harmonic
Higher harmonic analysis enables more accurate assessment of power quality and supply parameters.
Energy monitoring in distribution boards and industrial installations
Support for single-, two- and three-phase installations
EEM-MA370-R can operate in three-phase 3- and 4-wire networks, two-phase installations and single-phase installations.
Electrical parameters are measured as true root mean square True RMS continuously, allowing the device to correctly analyze distorted current and voltage waveforms as well.
The fundamental frequency range is from 45 to 65 Hz.
Direct measurement up to 690 V AC
The meter has three voltage measurement inputs V1, V2 and V3 for monitoring the parameters of individual phases.
The direct voltage range is 18–690 V AC phase-to-phase and 11–400 V AC phase-to-neutral.
In higher-voltage installations, external voltage transformers with configurable primary voltage can be used.
Compatibility with 1 A and 5 A current transformers
Current measurement is performed through three inputs I1, I2 and I3 designed to work with standard current transformers.
EEM-MA370-R supports transformers with a secondary current of 1 A or 5 A, while the configurable primary current can range from 1 to 20,000 A.
Current measurement accuracy is 0.2%, allowing the meter to be used for precise monitoring of individual circuit loads.
Class 0.5 S for active energy
Power measurement accuracy is 0.5%, enabling EEM-MA370-R to be used for detailed monitoring of consumption and installation load.
Active energy measurement meets the requirements class 0.5 S according to IEC 62053-22 and ANSI C12.20.
Reactive energy is measured in class 2 according to IEC 62053-23.
Recording up to the 63rd harmonic
EEM-MA370-R records higher voltage and current harmonics up to the 63rd harmonic.
This function enables analysis of distortions occurring, among others, in installations with inverters, variable-speed drives, switched-mode power supplies and other nonlinear loads.
The sampling frequency is 12.8 kHz for 50 Hz networks and 15.4 kHz for 60 Hz networks.
Modbus TCP and REST API
The built-in RJ45 Ethernet port enables communication at 10 or 100 Mb/s.
Protocol Modbus TCP enables direct transmission of measurement data to PLCs, SCADA systems, BMS and energy management platforms.
In addition, the device provides REST API via HTTP, enabling easier data integration with applications and IT systems.
Modbus RTU for serial communication
EEM-MA370-R is additionally equipped with an RS-485 interface supporting Modbus RTU.
This enables the device to also be used in existing automation installations based on a serial communication standard.
The transmission speed can be configured within the range from 2.4 to 115.2 kb/s, and the integrated termination resistance is 120 Ω.
Digital I/O for integration with automation
The meter has one digital input compliant with IEC/EN 61131-2 Type 3.
One 24 V DC digital output with a maximum output current of 100 mA is also available.
Digital I/O can be used to work with additional installation signals and automation system components.
LCD display and configuration via browser
EEM-MA370-R has a backlit, two-color, multi-line LCD display enabling local viewing of the most important measurement values.
The built-in web server allows the device to be configured from a standard web browser.
An intuitive installation wizard simplifies configuration of basic measurement and communication parameters and speeds up device commissioning.
