EEM-MB370 — EMpro energy meter with Ethernet for DIN rail
Phoenix Contact EEM-MB370 2907954 is a multifunction energy meter designed to measure and monitor electrical parameters in low-voltage installations up to 690 V AC.
The device performs continuous TRMS measurement and enables monitoring of voltage, current, power, energy and higher harmonics.
EEM-MB370 is a compact without local displayversion designed for DIN-rail mounting. Configuration and data access can be performed via the integrated web server and Ethernet interface.
690 V AC, 20,000 A and Ethernet communication
20 000 A
Compatibility with current transformers enables primary current measurement to be configured up to 20,000 A.
0,5 S
Active energy measurement meets class 0.5 S requirements according to IEC 62053-22.
Modbus TCP
Ethernet enables direct integration of the meter with automation and energy management systems.
Energy monitoring in distribution boards and control cabinets
Continuous True RMS measurement
EEM-MB370 supports three-phase 3- and 4-wire, two-phase and single-phase installations.
The device uses continuous true root mean square True RMS, allowing accurate representation of parameters even with distorted voltage and current waveforms.
The fundamental frequency range is from 45 to 65 Hz.
Direct measurement up to 690 V AC
EEM-MB370 has three voltage inputs V1, V2 and V3 for monitoring the parameters of individual phases.
The direct measurement range is 18–690 V AC phase-to-phase and 11–400 V AC phase-to-neutral.
With external voltage transformers, installations with primary voltage up to 2,000,000 V AC can be measured.
1 A and 5 A current transformers
Current measurement is performed through three inputs I1, I2 and I3 working with standard current transformers.
Transformers with secondary current are supported 1 A or 5 A, and the configurable primary-side current range is from 1 to 20,000 A.
Current measurement accuracy is 0.2%, allowing the device to be used for precise monitoring of load and energy consumption.
Class 0.5 S for active energy
EEM-MB370 measures power with an accuracy of 0,5%.
Active energy measurement meets the requirements class 0.5 S according to IEC 62053-22 and class 0.5 S according to ANSI C12.20.
Reactive energy is measured in class 2 according to IEC 62053-23.
Recording up to the 63rd harmonic
EEM-MB370 enables analysis of higher voltage and current harmonics up to the 63rd harmonic.
This function makes it possible to identify distortions generated by inverters, variable-speed drives, switched-mode power supplies and other nonlinear loads.
Harmonic data can be used during power quality diagnostics and analysis of additional losses in the installation.
Ethernet with Modbus TCP and REST API
EEM-MB370 has a built-in Ethernet RJ45 supporting transmission at 10 or 100 Mb/s.
Modbus TCP enables direct integration with PLCs, SCADA systems, BMS and energy management systems.
The available REST API interface simplifies integration of measurement data with applications and IT systems.
Operation via integrated web server
EEM-MB370 does not have a local display, so device configuration can be performed through its integrated web interface.
An intuitive installation wizard guides the user through the basic settings of the electrical network, measurement transformers and communication.
Browser access simplifies commissioning and servicing of the device without the need to install dedicated configuration software.
Digital I/O for automation integration
The meter has one digital input compliant with IEC/EN 61131-2 Type 3.
The input operates with a 24 V DC signal, and its voltage range is from 0 to 30 V DC.
One 24 V DC digital output is also available with a maximum current of 100 mA.
Power supply from AC or DC installation
Operation at temperatures from −25 to +70°C
Compact 5-TE enclosure for DIN rail
EEM-MB370 is designed for horizontal mounting on a standard DIN rail in distribution boards and control cabinets.
The enclosure dimensions are 90 × 90 × 71,7 mm and a width corresponding to 5 modules.
The enclosure protection rating is IP20, and the device weight without packaging is approximately 261 g.
5 TE
The 90 mm width enables compact installation of the device in a distribution board.
DIN
The enclosure is prepared for direct mounting on a horizontal mounting rail.
Without display
The MB variant minimizes front-panel operating elements and is intended primarily for remote data reading.
