CELLULINK 4401-4G GL M25

CELLULINK 4401-4G GL M25 uses a modem LTE Cat.4 designed for data transmission in demanding industrial applications.

In LTE-FDD networks, the maximum throughput is 150 Mbit/s DL and 50 Mbit/s UL, while for LTE-TDD up to 130 Mbit/s DL and 30 Mbit/s UL.

If 4G is unavailable, the device can switch to HSPA+, WCDMA, EDGE or GPRSfunction.

Designation GL indicates the global version of the cellular modem supporting a wide range of LTE, WCDMA and GSM bands.

This allows the same hardware platform to be used in many regions worldwide, subject to local approvals and available operator bands.

CELLULINK 4401 has integrated 2×2 MIMO cellular antennasfunction.

This solution supports LTE Cat.4 transmission capabilities and reduces the need to run separate RF cables between the router and antennas.

Mounting the router directly on a pole can also allow the entire radio module to be positioned where reception conditions are more favourable.

The router uses a Nano SIM in 4FF format and is described by the manufacturer as a Dual SIM device.

The device also includes built-in eSIM. However, the current Phoenix Contact specification describes it as eSIM readyfunction.

The manufacturer states that support is to become available with the appropriate firmware version, so eSIM functionality should be verified against the device’s current software.

The router has 1 shielded RJ45 port compliant with Ethernet 10/100Base-T(X) and IEEE 802.3.

The interface supports autonegotiation, and the maximum transmission distance over shielded Twisted Pair cable is 100 mfunction.

Supported protocols include TCP/IP, UDP/IP, HTTPS, IPv4, IPv6, VXLAN and GRETAP, among others.

CELLULINK supports NAT, enabling the cellular connection to be forwarded to a device on the local Ethernet network.

The following function is also available: Exposed Host and VXLAN and GRETAP tunnelling mechanisms.

This allows the router to be integrated with different industrial network architectures and remote communication systems.

The integrated GNSS receiver supports the following systems: GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSSfunction.

Satellite information can be used to determine the device location and synchronise time.

CELLULINK can also operate as a NTPv4 Stratum 1 server. The manufacturer specifies internal RTC accuracy in offline mode as less than 30 seconds per month.

The M25 variant is powered via the Ethernet interface and supports passive PoE in the 21,6–57 V DC rangefunction.

Standard support is also provided for 15 W PoE compliant with IEEE 802.3affunction.

The maximum power consumption of the device is below 8 W, while the typical standby current at 24 V DC is 50 mA.

Phoenix Contact states that CELLULINK 4401-4G GL M25 is a product certified in accordance with IEC 62443-4-2function.

The device development process is certified in accordance with IEC 62443-4-1function.

The router can be managed via the web interface and REST API, facilitating its configuration and integration with device management systems.

The router has an ingress protection rating of IP66/IP69K and mechanical resistance of IK10function.

The operating temperature range is −40…+70°C, while storage and transport temperature is −40…+85°C.

The enclosure is resistant to UV radiation and salt mist. The manufacturer also specifies vibration resistance up to 5 g and shock resistance up to 30 g.

CELLULINK 4401-4G GL M25 is optimised for direct pole mountingfunction.

The permissible pole diameter ranges from 30 to 250 mm. The manufacturer also provides for wall mounting using a suitable adapter.

The device can be mounted in any orientation.

The router enclosure is made of polycarbonate with UL94 V0 flammability rating in light grey RAL 7035.

Device dimensions are 90 × 195 × 67 mm, and with the wall adapter the depth increases to 68 mm.

The weight of a single device without packaging is 392 gfunction.
