Phoenix Contact CELLULINK 2401-4G EU M40, item no. 1503487 is an industrial cellular router for outdoor installations, using LTE Cat.1 with transfer rates up to 10 Mbit/s and automatic fallback to the 2G network. The device has an integrated cellular antenna 1×1 SISO, Ethernet port 10/100Base-T(X) RJ45 with PoE In, NAT routing, a physical Nano SIM card and eSIM with multiple-profile support and operator switching. Integrated GNSS supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou and can be used for positioning and time synchronisation.
CELLULINK 2401-4G EU M40 has been designed for direct mounting on machines, mobile units and control cabinets. The enclosure provides protection IP66/IP69K and IK10 mechanical resistance, operates at temperatures from −40 to +70°C and is resistant to UV radiation and salt mist. The router can be powered with 10–52 V DC via COMBICON, passive PoE 21,6–57 V DC or standard PoE 802.3af 15 W. The device is certified in accordance with IEC 62443-4-2, and is configured via the web interface or REST API.

Phoenix Contact CELLULINK 2401-4G EU M40 is a compact 4G cellular router designed for directly connecting machines, controllers, field installations and mobile industrial units to the Internet via the LTE network.
The router uses LTE Cat.1 with download speeds of up to 10 Mbit/s, provides fallback to the 2G network, has integrated 1×1 SISO antennas and one 10/100Base-T(X) Ethernet port. Nano SIM and eSIM support enables operator redundancy, while GNSS provides positioning and precise time synchronisation.
Design IP66/IP69K and IK10, an operating range of −40…+70°C and resistance to UV radiation and salt mist allow the device to be mounted outside a conventional automation cabinet, directly on a machine or in an outdoor installation.

CELLULINK 2401-4G EU M40 uses a modem LTE Cat.1 designed for European cellular networks.
The maximum speed for LTE-FDD is 10 Mbit/s download and 5 Mbit/s upload. For LTE-TDD, the manufacturer specifies up to 8,96 Mbit/s DL and 3,1 Mbit/s UL.
If the LTE network is unavailable, the router can use fallback to GSM/2Gfunction.
Variant designed for European LTE networks
Nano SIM and eSIM with multiple profiles
The router has an interface for a physical card Nano SIM 4FF and a built-in eSIMfunction.
The current manufacturer specification indicates support for multiple eSIM profiles and the ability to switch operators between the SIM card and eSIM.
This mechanism can increase communication availability in installations where an alternative cellular network operator is required.
RJ45 10/100Base-T(X) port with PoE capability
CELLULINK has 1 shielded RJ45 10/100Base-T(X) port compliant with IEEE 802.3 and supporting autonegotiation.
The maximum length of a shielded Twisted Pair connection is 100 mfunction.
The device supports, among others, TCP/IP, UDP/IP, HTTPS, IPv4 and IPv6 as well as VXLAN and GRETAP mechanisms.
GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou
The integrated GNSS receiver supports the following systems: GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDoufunction.
GNSS information can be used both to determine the device location and to synchronise time.
CELLULINK can also operate as a NTPv4 Stratum 1 time server, allowing synchronised time to be provided to devices on the local Ethernet network.
IEC 62443-4-2 certification
CELLULINK 2401-4G EU M40 has product certification compliant with IEC 62443-4-2, and the device development process is certified in accordance with IEC 62443-4-1.
The router supports NAT routing and Exposed Host and can be managed through a secure HTTPS interface.
CELLULINK does not have a VPN tunnel function. If the application requires a conventional VPN, the manufacturer recommends using an appropriate controller or security device, such as the mGuard family.
Configuration via browser and REST API
The router is configured via web-based management, allowing basic settings to be made from a web browser.
Also available is REST API, enabling device configuration and diagnostics to be integrated with higher-level software tools.
Phoenix Contact also offers additional software for central device and update management.
COMBICON, 802.3af PoE or passive PoE
The router provides several power-supply options, facilitating installation both in a control cabinet and directly on a machine.
Via the COMBICON connector, the voltage range is 10–52 V DC. Passive PoE can operate in the range 21,6–57 V DCfunction.
Also available is power supply via 15 W PoE compliant with IEEE 802.3af. The maximum power consumption of the router is below 8 W.
IP66/IP69K, IK10 and −40…+70°C range
When correctly installed, the router provides an ingress protection rating of IP66/IP69K and impact resistance of IK10function.
The operating temperature range is −40…+70°C, while the storage and transport temperature can range from −40 to +85°C.
The enclosure is resistant to UV radiation in accordance with UL746C f1 and to salt mist in accordance with IEC 60068-2-11 — 96 hours in 5-percent salt spray.

The enclosure is made of UL94 V0 polycarbonate in light grey RAL 7035.

CELLULINK is designed for surface mounting in a single hole. The mounting orientation can be arbitrary, although the manufacturer recommends pointing the connections downwards to reduce dirt accumulation.
