EEM-MA371-24DC — EMpro energy meter for DIN rail
Phoenix Contact EEM-MA371-24DC 1127058 is a multifunction energy meter designed to measure and monitor electrical parameters in low-voltage installations up to 690 V AC.
The device enables direct connection of Rogowski coils, performs continuous True RMS measurement and allows monitoring of voltage, current, power, energy and higher harmonics.
Version EEM-MA371-24DC uses an auxiliary 24 V DC supply, has a local display and an Ethernet interface with Modbus TCP and REST, making it easy to integrate with industrial automation and energy management systems.
Up to 4000 A, direct Rogowski connection and 24 V DC power supply
4000 A
The second measurement range enables monitoring of high loads up to 4000 A.
Rogowski
Direct inputs for Rogowski coils reduce the number of additional components in the measurement circuit.
24 V DC
18–30 V DC power supply facilitates integration of the meter with typical industrial automation infrastructure.
Monitoring of high loads and power installations
Integration with typical automation infrastructure
EEM-MA371-24DC is powered at a nominal voltage of 24 V DC.
The permissible supply voltage range is from 18 up to 30 V DC, i.e. ±25% of the nominal value.
This enables the meter to be powered from a typical 24 V DC system used in control cabinets together with PLCs, I/O modules and communication devices.
Direct current measurement up to 4000 A
EEM-MA371-24DC has three measurement inputs RC1, RC2 and RC3 designed for direct connection of Rogowski coils.
Two measurement levels are available: up to 400 A and up to 4000 A, enabling one meter type to be used in installations with different load levels.
When using a Phoenix Contact coil, the transmission factor is 100 mV / 1000 A, while the voltage range of the measurement input is from 500 µV to 400 mV.
Measurement without conventional 1 A / 5 A transformers
Direct inputs for Rogowski coils reduce the number of additional components required in the measurement circuit.
Rogowski coils can be installed around existing conductors or busbars, facilitating retrofit of installations already in operation.
The solution is particularly well suited to applications with high currents and conductors or busbars with large cross-sections.
Support for single-, two- and three-phase installations
EEM-MA371-24DC can operate in three-phase 3- and 4-wire, two-phase and single-phase networks.
Electrical parameters are measured continuously according to the True RMS, allowing the device to correctly analyze distorted voltage and current waveforms as well.
The measurement range for the fundamental frequency is from 45 to 65 Hz.
Direct measurement up to 690 V AC
The meter has three voltage inputs V1, V2 and V3 for measuring parameters of individual phases.
The direct measurement range is 18–690 V AC phase-to-phase and 11–400 V AC phase-to-neutral.
With external voltage transformers, the primary voltage range can be configured from 60 V AC up to 2,000,000 V AC.
Class 1 for active energy
EEM-MA371-24DC measures voltage with an accuracy of 0,2%, while current measurement accuracy using Rogowski coils is 0.5%.
Power measurement accuracy is 1%, and active energy measurement meets the requirements of class 1 according to IEC 62053-21.
Reactive energy is measured in class 2 according to IEC 62053-23.
Recording up to the 63rd harmonic
EEM-MA371-24DC analyzes voltage and current harmonics up to the 63rd harmonic.
This function enables analysis of distortions generated by inverters, variable-speed drives, switched-mode power supplies and other nonlinear loads.
Harmonic data can support installation diagnostics and assessment of power-supply quality.
Ethernet with Modbus TCP and REST API
EEM-MA371-24DC has one Ethernet RJ45 operating at 10 or 100 Mb/s.
Protocol Modbus TCP enables direct data transmission to PLCs, SCADA systems, BMS and energy management systems.
Interface REST enables additional integration of measurement values with applications and IT systems.
Digital I/O for automation integration
The meter has one digital input compliant with IEC/EN 61131-2 Type 3.
The input operates at 24 V DC with a signal range from 0 to 30 V DC.
One 24 V DC digital output is also available with a maximum current of 100 mA.
LCD display and browser-based configuration
EEM-MA371-24DC has a backlit, two-color, multi-line LCD display.
Buttons on the front panel enable local viewing of measurement values and changes to device configuration.
The integrated web server and guided step-by-step installation wizard simplify meter configuration and commissioning.
Reinforced insulation and 4 kV AC test voltage
The device enclosure is isolated from all potentials in accordance with IEC 61010-1 and uses reinforced insulation.
The insulation test voltage is 4 kV AC for 60 seconds.
The device meets the requirements of IEC 61010-1, IEC 61010-2-030, IEC 61326-1 and IEC 61557-12, among others.
Operation at temperatures from −25 to +70°C
